She and her husband Phil, lived down the street and around the corner from our home on 2nd West. Their daughter Susan was my age--their are six girls in the family. As a boy I was greatly influenced by this family. When you live near people for years you learn what really makes them tick. Love of family and love for the gospel made this family special to me. I grew up in a wonderful home with exceptionally good parents. They, however didn't attend church much when I was a pup. Family prayer was something I heard about in church and witnessed at the Peterson home. The Petersons were the best example on our block of those who walked the walk. She was a wonderful primary teacher. He was my priests quorum adviser and later my bishop. My first assignment as a junior home teacher was in their home. They represented activity in the church in the fullest sense. Somewhere in my youth I decided that I wanted what they had. Be careful what you really want said a general authority ( Lorin C. Dunn) in Scotland--a few years ago, because you will get it.<br />when brother Peterson told book of Mormon stories, I knew he believed them to be true. I believe also. As we study and ponder--if we have prepared ourself, we will feel the strength of the words we read pushing into our souls and it will be revealed to us just why these words were written and what they should mean to us.<br />I love you all. In the morning we decorated in Richfield. That afternoon, I went to Antimony. Grandma King and I spent time at the cemetary and visiting Uncle Tom. Then we went to Circleville to decorated. It was so awesome to remember all of our loved ones. My family made it very special, however. 12 (a dozen) X 5 (my children) = 60 (my age). Mindy gave me a purse full of 12 items to help celebrate my day. Jon gave me 12 donuts and a list of 12 special notes along with a necklace and earings. Katie gave me a sack of 12 items to remember old times and she did my hair to make me look younger. Mike gave me 12 red roses with a note tied on each rose. Ryan game me a 12 pack of diet coke with a note attached to each can and a missionary scrapbook. It sort of reminded us of the Flint Trail Adverture. We were unaware of just where we were going. We had no idea that it was going to be so far and long. It was an amazing trip, however. It was so beautiful. The weather was awesome. We did have lots of fun. It was a great day. Mike gave him a beautiful blessing. Dianna's mom made him an awesome blessing outfit out of Dianna's wedding dress. After we went to the club house near Mike's House for a delicious dinner. We remember this day well 32 years ago. He was the first baby born in the new Sevier Valley Hospital. They were still in the process of moving from the old hospital. We got our picture in the Deseret Newspaper and we made the Rat Race in the Richfield Reaper. He was a special little spirit. When we first saw him after they had cleaned him up, his hair was sticking straight up and he had a cute little puckered up lip. We have always been proud of him and he has always been a very special son. We love him and his wonderful family. Kingston Charles Ogden (K.C.) was born around 4:30 am this morning. He came a little earlier than expected. He weighted 7 lbs. 4 oz. Mike and Dianna are so excited to have him here and to have him be healthy. They were up all night so they were very tired. Wade doesn't say much he really doesn't know what to think. He was much more interested in the congratulations balloons we took to Dianna. We made a quick trip to Provo today to get our first look at our new grandson. This is our 12th grandchild counting the two boys in Japan (Keishi's). We have 10 boys and two girls. They are all so special. We are so proud of all of them. We are also so blessed that they are all healthy. They had it in their new chapel in Axtel. It was great fun. Mike, Dianna and Wade met us there and Wade had a great time. He loved the megnet alphabet and cars that Santa gave him. </div><div>Valene pieced and quilted each family a wall hanging made from some of Grandpa King's shirts and ties. She also made us all a new updated Relatively Speaking Booklet. She is so amazing. The party was so successful. They spent lots of time and we appreciate their hard work. Grandma King sit on Santa's lap and he gave her a present from all of the family. She still has a difficult time doing this without Grandpa. He was very brave and had a speedy recovery. Mom was out of school for the holiday so she was his nurse for 4 days until he started to feel better. Since we don't have Jon around anymore and since we got Dolly there are lots of little doggie"doo doos" all over the grass. Dad did take Jon's advise by putting cotton in his nose as he is scooping. It always helps to add some perfume on the cotton.<br />Dolly is looking on to see the damage she has created. She is fully house trained and when she needs to go she heads for the back yard. That makes us very happy that she exits through her doggie door to find a place to do her duty outside.<br />We take her on a walk every morning at 5:30 am<br />She keeps us moving. She is so happy to see us come. She always gets up out of her chair and gives us a big hug. She is doing good. Aunt Beverly is a great caregiver and she spends a lot of time helping grandma. She is so good to her. She fixes her hair and gives her manicures. She takes her on walks. They go to visit Aunt Dona nearly everyday and two or three times a week, they visit Grandma's other friends. Beverly makes sure her clothes are clean and she fixes her good meals each day. We are so thankful this Thanksgiving for Aunt Beverly and her willingness to care for our wonderful grandmother. She is such a great lady and deserves the best care ever. We love her dearly. They are going to start coming to our ward on Sundays for sacrament meeting. She would run to the front door and start to growl. It is located just around the corner from our home. There will be three wards attending. Dad's bishop office will be in the front right corner as you face the church. The wards attending will be the 2nd ward (Grandma Ogden's ward), the 10th ward and our ward which is the 14th ward. Our first Sunday will be the 11th of November. We are very excited to make the move. Our time schedule will always be 1:30. We will not rotate with the other two wards. Katie and the kids are here to visit us. We went to "the pumpkin patch" in Elsinore. We rode on a hay wagon out to the patch and each of us got to choose our own pumpkin. Crew and Maddie got to ride on a little train which was pulled by a tractor. They loved it. We took a pumpkin to Great Grandma Ogden. The day was beautiful and we enjoyed the afternoon.
